It is located on the Western Wall of the Al-Aqsa Mosque south of Bab al-mutahara, and the building rises on its upper floors above the Bab al-mutahara gate, and extends south until it connects to the building of the AL-ashrafiyya madrasa.

It was stopped by Isfahan Shah Khatun bint Mahmud the ottoman in 840 Ah/1436 ad during the reign of Sultan Al-Ashraf barsbay.

The Ottoman madrasa consists of two floors outside the Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the madrasa mosque is at the level of the squares of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and overlooks it. The school is currently used for housing Muslim families.
