Hurva Synagogue
The alleged ruin synagogue mimics the dome of the rock and threatens the identity of Jerusalem
The Israeli occupation approved the construction of the so-called ruin synagogue in 2001, and a budget of 12 million dollars was allocated for it, shared by the government and donors from the Jews of the world.
Its construction began in 2006 immediately after the completion of engineering maps based on old photographs of the synagogue before its demolition in 1948.
In another Israeli government decision, Israel entrusted the management of the "ruin synagogue" to the so-called"Weeping Heritage Fund", a company affiliated with the Israeli government that follows the affairs of the wall of light directly from the Office of the president of the Israeli government.
The ruined synagogue rises 24 meters and its dome includes 12 windows. Its dome is painted white and is located at a distance of tens of meters from the Western Wall of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and adjacent to it is the historical closed Umari mosque.
Allegations
According to Israeli allegations, the ruin synagogue was built at the beginning of the eighteenth century, and then rebuilt in the middle of the following century after its ruin until it was demolished in 1948 during an Israeli attempt to occupy East Jerusalem, hence the name"ruin".
According to the same allegations, an Israeli rabbi lived in the year 1750, and wrote on that day predicting that the day of the reopening of the ruin synagogue would be the day of the restart of construction in the so-called Third Temple.
The synagogue is based on an Ottoman building located within the Islamic buildings adjacent to the Omari Mosque, on waqf land and at the expense of Palestinian houses belonging to the neighborhood of Honor, which the occupation failed to seize in 1948 and in 1967 most of their houses were demolished, and a large settlement neighborhood was named"Jewish neighborhood" at the expense of Honor neighborhood.
Intentions and goals
The coincidence of the opening of the synagogue in Occupied Jerusalem with the International Day for the construction of the alleged temple demonstrates the reality of the intentions and intentions of the occupation behind its construction.
Among the undeclared goals of building the "ruin synagogue", according to experts following the issue of Jerusalem and its holy sites, is related to the fabrication of a fictitious Hebrew history in Jerusalem in support of Israeli political claims in the city, as confirmed by Israeli archaeologist Meir Ben-David, who denies that it is an archaeological site other than official Jewish claims.
This is in addition to an attempt to hide the features of the Temple Mount by building a high dome that mimics its external shape as the clearest and most prominent architectural landmark in Jerusalem from various sides.
For its part, the Al-Aqsa Foundation believes that the so-called kharab synagogue is a first-class Judaizing project related to the construction of the alleged Third Temple, adopted by the ruling Israeli establishment and its settlement companies.
New photographs show that there are large drawings of several Islamic landmarks inside the dome of the ruin synagogue, such as the Ibrahimi Mosque in Hebron and the Bilal Ben Rabah mosque in Bethlehem, as "Jewish landmarks" according to the list of Jewish heritage sites announced by Israel about three weeks ago.
