Judaization of Umayyad palaces

The mayor of the occupation municipality in Jerusalem opened the Umayyad Caliphate palaces area south of Al-Aqsa Mosque as the" Temple Mount", under the auspices of the Israel Antiquities Authority and with the participation of dozens of Israeli students and some official figures.

The Al-Aqsa Foundation for Waqf and heritage in the occupied territories in the year 48 said in a press release on Tuesday that the construction of runways and iron platforms connecting large parts in the Umayyad palaces area in the form of a path that the occupation called the "biblical path of Temple purifiers"has been almost completely completed.

The statement added that many signs and plaques were erected along the new route, to provide a historical explanation about the so-called first and Second Temple period, and new archaeological assets were placed in the area as monuments from the Jewish Temple period known as the temple of Solomon.

According to the statement, the area will be opened to the public as a Yiddish biblical path in the next few days.

"These actions are taking place amid the obliteration and destruction of historical Islamic monuments and the control of Islamic endowments that are an integral part of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque,"the Al-Aqsa Foundation said.

Several Palestinian and Jordanian parties accuse Israel of falsifying the identity of Occupied Jerusalem under the pretext of restoration, as it is working to restore the historical walls of the city, clean its facades and replace some of its stones, while the Palestinians assert that these works are nothing but a cover for Judaization.
