Jerusalem Castle
It is located in the western wall of the city, close to the Hebron Gate. It is also called the Citadel of David, and the Prophet David has nothing to do with it. They also built a mosque there during the era of Sultan al-Nasir Muhammad ibn Qalawun, and restored its walls in 710 AH / 1310 AD. Sultan Selim was keen to restore it.
The castle and its mosque were provided with a minaret. After the occupation of Jerusalem in 1967 AD, the occupation forces seized the Citadel of Jerusalem as an Israeli military barracks, and then turned it into a museum called the Citadel of David Museum.
