It is located next to the blessed Al-Aqsa mosque, opposite the headquarters of the general Islamic Awqaf Department to the left of the exterior of the caretaker's door. It consists of two floors and is one of the oldest buildings in Jerusalem. It is believed that the Caliph MU'awiya ibn Abu Sufyan was satisfied ! God forbid, he came to a house that was standing on its site when he visited Jerusalem; therefore, it was called "Muawiyah's house" in the old days. It was bought by Sheikh Abu al-Wafa Muhammad Bin Ali al-Husseini (d.1401 ad), and Al-Wafa corner was founded there in (1380 ad), and the famous mathematician Shihab al-Din Ahmad Bin Al-Haim (d. 1412 ad) also inhabited it, so he called it the House of Ibn al-Haim".

It was also bought by Mustafa al-Bakri Al-khuluti (d. 1749 ad), so it was known as Al-Bakri's retreat," and then he bought it from his heirs Sheikh Mohammed Badir (d.1805, the grandfather of the contemporary Al-Badiri family, so it was finally known as Al-Badiri's corner and is still known by this name today. Sheikh Mohammed was buried in a monastery in a room on the ground floor overlooking the courtyard of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and a library was kept in another room .
