The sabil consists of a small room in the middle of which is a bead for a water tank that is brought from the west by a large water basin covered with a marble slab.

The sabil is located in the northwestern part of the courtyard of Al-Aqsa Mosque, to the north of the end of the walkway that leads from Bab al-Nazir to the roof of the honorable Dome of the Rock, just before ascending to the stairs of the northwestern altar: The sabil was founded by the great King Jesus and repaired. The time of Sultan Barsbay and Minister Pyram Pasha at the hands of Muhammad Pasha, the Ottoman governor of Jerusalem, and for this reason the sabil is known by several names, but it was dominated by the name of Al-Masbalati, who was hired to serve the sabil Sheikh Shaghlan.
