Galician school
It is located from Bab al-Silsila Road north to meet with Darat Al-Ain, which is along wad road and exactly at the newly opened police station on the steps leading to Al-Buraq square.
The school consists of two units, the first is a domed room at the corner of the street and a front room to the north next to the Al Ain staircase, the second unit is the main entrance and leads to the Al Ain staircase and then to a square surrounded by old buildings since the Ottoman era, and the school was built on an old bridge that contains the Bab al-Silsila road from East to West, and the arches under the galkia removed the rubble in 1977 to form a corridor from the Valley Road to Al-Buraq square.
Only a few rooms remained of the school and were used as the headquarters of the Israeli police in Al-Quds al-Sharif.
One of the Mamluks of the Ayyubid Sultan Al-Saleh Najm al-Din Ayyub, namely the corner of al-Din Baibars Al-jalaq al-Salhi, established the Galician school named after him on (10 Jumada I in 702 Ah/1302 ad) on the Bab al-Silsila Road north to meet with the Al-Ain staircase, which is along the wad Road, exactly at the police station, which opened a new one on the steps leading to Al-Buraq Square, where the galakia consists of two units; the first is a domed room at the street corner and a front room to the north next to the Al-Ain staircase the second unit is the main entrance leading to the Al Ain staircase and then to a square surrounded by old buildings since the Ottoman era, and the school was built on an old bridge that contains Bab al-Silsila road From East to West, the arches under the galkiya were removed in 1977 to form a corridor from the Valley Road to Al-Buraq Square, and only some rooms remained of the school were used as the headquarters of the Israeli police in Al-Quds Al-Sharif.
