Located southwest of the Old Town, It is the smallest neighborhood of the holy city. And the territory of the fortress itself was once the palace of King Herod.
The presence of Armenians in Palestine dates back to the fourth century AD, and the Armenians were the first pilgrims who established hospitality centers and Khans in Palestine to receive pilgrims. According to the Armenian tradition, everyone who converts to Christianity must make a pilgrimage to Jerusalem.
